merve.ataman@smsi.ieMerve is a PhD candidate at the School of Psychology, Trinity College Dublin. She received her BA and MA degrees in Psychology from Bogazici University. She also studied at the Sapienza University of Rome and completed a research internship at the University of Pisa under the Erasmus Scholarship. Also, she completed the Postgraduate Diploma Programme in Statistics with Distinction at Trinity College Dublin. She worked as a research assistant in the Language and Communication Development Lab at Koc University and as a teaching assistant for the Academic Skills Tutorials, Research Skills and Methodology II Seminars, and Theoretical Issues Seminars at Trinity College Dublin. Funded by the Provost’s Award of Trinity College Dublin, she is currently researching parent-child interaction and developmental outcomes of prematurely born children. Her research focuses on understanding social cognition and language development following preterm birth.
Merve presented her research at several scientific conferences, including Lancaster University International Conference on Infant and Early Child Development (LCICD, August 2022) and Budapest CEU Conference on Cognitive Development (BCCCD, January 2023), and she was awarded the Trinity Trust Travel Grant for attending these conferences.Published:
