Short Courses are 4-6 weeks long. They are delivered in a blended mode – as a mixture of both face to face sessions and online sessions. A certificate of completion will be issued by St. Nicholas Montessori College.

This online course, starting on Tuesday Nov 21st, covers topics such as preserving the skills of people with dementia, creating supportive, dementia-friendly environments, developing meaningful activities, maintaining connection and communication, and identifying ways in which the Montessori method can preserve dignity and independence.

This introductory course in particular will be of interest to parents, school leavers and anyone with an interest in understanding why human beings develop the way they do. Topics include Attachment Theory, Nature v Nurture, Parenting Styles and Family Dynamics.
Neurodiversity describes the idea that people experience and interact with the world around them in many different ways. This 4 week course explores various aspects of neurodiversity such as neuro-affirming, myths around neurodiversity, and neurodiversity and play. It will be of interest to parents, early years educators, teachers and anyone interested in gaining an initial understanding of neurovarience.
This short course will be delivered in a face-to-face workshop format. Each 2 hour session will include a coffee morning, a 30 minute introduction to a course topic, followed by an opportunity for infants to engage with specific Montessori materials for children aged birth to three, under the guidance of a trained Montessori assistant. Babies and toddlers welcome.
Frustrated with the amount of time you spend on paperwork? This is a brand new, 4-weeks course aimed at those who are interested in streamlining and ultimately decreasing their paperwork. Focussed on the use of IT in the preschool environment, this course is aimed at those who have limited IT knowledge but would love to know more.
